the half marathon

On April 27th we got up early in the morning to have breakfast, so we were all ready for the half marathon on the Hoe.
Mummy was running the half marathon and I was going to do the school challenge.
We had race numbers and special t shirts.

I met up with my school on the hoe and went to the school challenge area.
All the half marathon runners went first then it was time for me to run, I ran with my old teacher Miss Boobier.

When I got back to the Hoe I got a goodie bag and a BIG GOLD MEDAL. I was very happy with it and Mummy got 1 too.

That night I said to Mummy 'Mummy I beat you and Uncle Gary and Uncle Anthony didn't I? because I got back to the Hoe first. Mummy said 'well the grown ups had to run 13 miles, you only had to run 1' so my reply was 'yes but I was back to the Hoe first so I still won'.

well done Riley for running the half marathon and getting a medal. love u lots xxx
